Initiative delivers a host of smart technology solutions benefitting more than 400 businesses

Juganu, a leading developer of smart infrastructure solutions, announced today the installation of a pilot program in Londrina, Brazil that will incorporate Juganu’s technology platform. Through the initiative, Juganu will deliver a variety of smart city technologies to more than 400 businesses along the Rua Sergipe retail corridor in Londrina, the second-largest city in the state of Paraná.
The “Conecta Program,” in association with the Brazilian Agency for Industrial Development (ABDI), will feature a host of solutions enhancing public safety and enriching the quality of life, including:
- Smart lighting fixtures, which provide improved lighting and wifi connectivity for the population
- Optical sensors that enhance the region’s public safety
- Intelligent traffic lights to optimize local traffic and reduce traffic jams

As part of the program, Juganu and ABDI will also initiate a pilot project with 40 merchants on Rua Sergipe to jumpstart smart retail initiatives. The collaboration will provide these businesses with leading-edge technologies in a market that is looking to rapidly transition with smart, connected technology in order to empower the economy.
Currently, plans are in place to replicate this initiative in other Brazilian regions.
