Through the initiative, Juganu will deliver a variety of smart city technologies to more than 400 businesses along the Rua Sergipe retail corridor in Londrina, the second-largest city in the state of Paraná.

The “Conecta Program,” in association with the Brazilian Agency for Industrial Development (ABDI), will feature a host of solutions enhancing public safety and enriching the quality of life, including:

  • Smart lighting fixtures, which provide improved lighting and wifi connectivity for the population
  • Optical sensors that enhance the region’s public safety
  • Intelligent traffic lights to optimize local traffic and reduce traffic jams

“Providing technology that improves the lives of people and enhances a community has always been the primary mission of Juganu,” said Eran Ben-Schmuel, CEO and Co-founder of Juganu. “We are also committed to providing smart retail solutions that can give businesses a competitive advantage today and in the future.”

As part of the program, Juganu and ABDI will also initiate a pilot project with 40 merchants on Rua Sergipe to jumpstart smart retail initiatives. The collaboration will provide these businesses with leading-edge technologies in a market that is looking to rapidly transition with smart, connected technology in order to empower the economy.
