As the leaves begin to turn and the weather cools, college campuses are once again a hive of activity, with students filling dorms, libraries and lecture halls across the country. College campuses can often seem like self-contained cities unto themselves, with restaurants, healthcare facilities, gyms and much more. They can also mimic cities in a less-desirable trait as well: crime. As noted in this recent Forbes Advisor article, in 2019, nearly 35,000 on-campus crimes were reported in the U.S.
